The company, JUUL Labs Inc had its vaping and e-cigarette products banned in the USA market by the FDA. The company must cease marketing and selling their vaping device and four types of liquid pods.
Lacked Evidence to Assess Risks
After reviewing Juul’s marking applications the FDA found their data insufficient and conflicting.
The governmental agency found their products lacked evidence that the chemicals they are using to make the liquid pods were “appropriate for the protection of public health” because they said not enough evidence to “assess the potential toxicological risks of using the JUUL products.”

An important mention in the ruling was in regards to genotoxicity and potentially harmful chemicals leaching from the company’s proprietary e-liquid pods. The harm done by second hard smoke has vast science behind it. Vape smoke may have just as much toxic effects if not more to give health regulators legitimate concern.
JUUL will most likely appeal, so further information should be forthcoming.
